AT&T Corp says it plans to complete the proposed acquisition of McCaw Cellular Communications Inc once it receives final approval from the US Federal Communications Commission, and that approval is expected soon, it says: it will face one more legal challenge after the deal is completed because US District Judge Edward Korman in Brooklyn says he will let Bell Atlantic Corp and Nynex Corp to proceed to trial with a complaint that the deal would harm competition in the cellular long-distance business, and that would not be heard until after AT&T has completed the proposed deal.
