A new feature added to the viewdata software from Applied Telematics Group Ltd enables UK users to access the French Minitel system. The new Minitel terminal handler on the company’s Computex Plus software, which runs on DEC VAXes, was initially developed for the Pont Data Co to provide information from France to financial institutions. Tunbridge Wells, Kent-based Applied Telematics will now target international information providers, particularly in the insurance and travel industries, to add the software on to their existing systems. Computex tags start at UKP15,000.
