APPLIED SCIENCE WINS OEM AGREEMENT FROM KODAK

By CBR Staff Writer

Applied Science Fiction Inc, the Austin, Texas-based image processing software firm, says it now has a signed contract from Eastman Kodak Co in its hands. Kodak is using the company’s patented image correction technology, which can remove surface scratches and blemishes from photographs and films (CI No 3,486), within its recently launched Kodak Digital Lab System, introduced at the Photokina show in Germany last month. The Digital Lab is aimed at retailer offering photo finishing services. Applied gets a royalty for every unit sold. The software works on rolls of film as they are processed.
