Applied Materials Inc of Amsterdam, has announced that DEC Scotland Ltd has purchased $9m of its semiconductor fabrication equipment including Precision 5000 Mark II chemical vapour deposition systems, Precision Etch 8300s and a Precision Implant 9200XJ high-current ion implanter for its wafer fab facility at South Queensferry, Edinburgh: the repeat orders call for shipment and installation by March 31 1992.
