The acquisition gives Applied Digital the ability to offer its retail clients a Microsoft SQL-based merchandising solution. Having already integrated Transatlantic’s applications with its current TradeWind in-store systems, data warehousing tools and interactive messaging services, Applied Digital now offers the most comprehensive set of solutions to the retail industry.

Transatlantic will become part of Applied Digital’s Retail Systems business unit, based in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition, Applied Digital’s Retail Systems unit will maintain offices in Wall Township, New Jersey, Toronto, Canada, and Milton Keynes, United Kingdom. It is anticipated that the combined operations will increase the Applied Digital Applications Group total revenues to more than $75 million and serve a wide variety of high-profile retailers around the world including Polo Ralph Lauren, the Hard Rock CafĂ©, Coldwater Creek, Frederick’s of Hollywood and Tie Rack.

Transatlantic’s senior management team including Chairman, Michael Burge, Finance Director, David Clark, and Managing Director, Keith Bennett will continue to serve in key leadership roles in the combined organization.
