Applied Discovery, a provider of electronic discovery and early case assessment (ECA), has launched Applied Discovery Leverage Data Analytics, a hosted offering for early case assessment and for ongoing document analysis throughout the matter lifecycle.

Applied Discovery Leverage Data Analytics as a hosted offering requires no in-house technical resources or hardware deployment, the company said.

The document collection is stored on the secure Applied Discovery cloud infrastructure, where it is accessible to designated corporate legal teams, outside counsel, and e-discovery professionals, making global collaboration simple and efficient.

The company claims that the new platform automatically filters the document set by language, source, file type, date range, domain, and other selected parameters.

Visual representations of data searches reveal key custodians, conversations, concepts, terms and events, informing case strategy and drastically reducing the time required for attorney review.

The new tool enables review to occur simultaneously with the assessment phase by transfering collections of documents into the Applied Discovery Leverage Review database throughout the analysis phase.

Reviewed documents and work products remain available for analysis and culling to populate document reviews for future matters, eliminating redundant document review and assuring consistency and defensibility of process.

Applied Discovery worldwide vice president of field operations and marketing Jon Resnick said with Applied Discovery Leverage Data Analytics, the visual representation of relationships between people, events, and communications brings critical information immediately to the surface.

Applied Discovery director of product management and technical strategy Jamie Brigman said clients can segregate potentially relevant documents and send them to the review team in one step.
