Apple Computer Inc says its iBook has reached the top of the charts, becoming the number one selling portable computer in the US retail market in October. The company touts new figures from market research group PC Data which have the blueberry iBook as the best-selling notebook for the period. PC Data’s monthly report also says combined sales of Apple’s iBook and PowerBook portable computer lines gave the once-struggling company an 11% share of the US retail portable market in October.
