A computer virus called Scores, apparently intended to settle same at Electronic Data Systems Corp, has wreaked havoc among several large networks of Apple Computer Macintosh machines at several US government agencies, including the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Aeronautics & Space Administration, reports the New York Times: the paper says that files were destroyed and hundreds of man-hours had to be devoted to tracking down and eliminating outbreaks of the virus, and although it is known to have got into the government via machines sold by contractors to various departments, it is still not known how the virus got into those machines in the first place.
