The US District Court, Northern District of California has set 06 December 2012 as hearing for Apple’s plea for a permanent injunction on US sales of some of the Samsung Electronics’ mobile devices.

The court has also scheduled a hearing on 20 September on Samsung’s request to lift a preliminary sales ban on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Tab.

Apple had identified eight Samsung smartphones and a tablet computer, claiming that the Samsung had infringed six of seven patents and awarded Apple damages of $1.05bn.

In an order, the US District judge Lucy Koh noted that due to the scope of Apple’s preliminary ban request, it was appropriate that various post-trial motions be combined.

Apple has also requested the court to bar US sales of a version of the Samsung’s tablet that operates on mobile networks, even though it was not listed in earlier verdict.

On 26th of August Samsung had sought to lift a ban on the Tab 10.1 after the US jury ruled that the device didn’t infringe the Apple design patent.

The list of devices that Apple wants to be bannged in the country include Galaxy S 4G, Galaxy S II AT&T, Galaxy S II Skyrocket, Galaxy S II T-Mobile, Galaxy S II Epic 4G, Galaxy S Showcase, Droid Charge and Galaxy Prevail.
