By CBR Staff Writer

Apple Computer Inc reckons there is a 200 million market of Hindi speakers in India and yesterday unveiled the Indian Language Kit, described as the world’s first operating system-level product for Indian language computing. The company notes that if you want MS-DOS or Windows in Hindi, you’ll be out of luck. The kit supports three scripts, enabling users to work not only in Hindi, but also in Marathi, Sanskrit, Nepali, Punjabi and Gujarati.
