APPLE TO DO NOTEBOOK FOR JAPAN ONLY, WITH IBM’S HELP

Apple Computer Inc, which has called in IBM Corp to help it develop a new subnotebook, says that it is working with IBM Japan Ltd on a 10 by 7 model purely for the Japanese market, where it will launch next spring. IBM has not looked back in notebooks since it handed responsibility for them over to IBM Japan.
