Sun Microsystems Inc knows pretty much what it wants of Apple Computer Inc, having approached the company with a proposal to buy it, and now looks like getting it without having to buy. The two are to build a seamless bridge between Macintosh desk top computers and Sun servers, and work on interoperability between Java Beans and Apple’s OpenDoc, and integration of JavaMedia and QuickTime. They will also work to establish mediaLib as a high-performance interface to multimedia-capable processors.
