Apple Computer Inc has begun shipping the Macintosh II personal computer to dealers, corporate customers and universities worldwide. First production models came off the Fremont, California line on April 29, about two weeks ahead of schedule, but the company does not expect to catch up with demand for the 68020 box until late summer.
