The 15% pay cut taken by Apple Computer Inc chief John Sculley (CI No 1,700) was the softening up for news that 900 people at the company have already had their pink slips – cards, as we say this side of the water, another 300 are to be declared redundant by the end of the year, and 300 more positions will be lost by not replacing retirees.
