A bit later than expected – it had promised the thing by the end of last year – Apple Computer Inc says it’s reaffirming its commitment to Unix compatibility with version 1.5 of its MacX X Window server implementation. Version 1.5 includes support for X11.5 and uses technology licensed from AGE Logic Inc. MacX enables Mac users to access X applications running on Unix. MacX 1.5 costs $300 for a single user – $3,500 for a 20-user pack – from September.
