Apple Computer Inc will be distributing copies of a development kit for the next release of the Macintosh operating software, System 7.0, at its annual Developers’ Conference in San Jose this week. According to Microbytes Daily, the kit, on Compact Disk, includes an early version of System 7.0, technical documentation, programming tools, and sample code. Apple will also preview a new version of HyperCard that is planned for release this summer, offering major improvements to the HyperCard programming environment, colour support and multiple sessions on the screen simultaneously. The company will also be launching the first phase of its planned support for Integrated Services Digital Network with availability of a limited number of ISDN Developer Toolkits, comprising an ISDN NuBus board, ISDN development software, integrated voice and data manager, samples of ISDN source code and additional utilities for the Macintosh Communications Toolbox.
