Apple Computer Inc likes to make promotional cash-off offers at this time of year, and it announced yesterday that it will offer mail-in cash rebates of up to $450 to buyers of Power Macintosh models 7600 and 8500. The rebates will be valid from now until January 19, and a customer buying a qualifying 17 monitor at the same time as the Power Mac 8500 will receive a $250 rebate, while buyers taking the 20 monitor will get the $450 rebate. A buyer taking a 17 monitor with a Power Macintosh 7600 will find it worth $150 off, and a 20 with that model is worth $250 off.
