Apple Computer Inc has decided that it doesn’t really need to invest lots of money to keep its monitors current, and that it has better things to spend its money on, so its Singapore Branch has licensed the Singapore Technologies Industrial Corp Ltd arm of Singapore Technologies Ltd to build Apple-designed monitors for Apple, and use Apple’s proprietary technology to manufacture monitors for other computer vendors – Mac OS licensees, presumably. Singapore Technology will initially manufacture high- end monitors for Apple before making them for others, and use the technology to develop new monitors. No financial details or figures on likely production volumes emerged.
