Apple Computer Inc has bad news for its shareholders. It says that it will not pay a first quarter dividend and does not expect to pay dividends in the near future because of its financial condition. The company has also, for the first time, licensed its good name, allowing Toy Biz Inc to use an Apple for Kids logo on its own mass market electronic learning aids. Apple will provide no input, but will be able to veto products on quality grounds. It will get a royalty on each sale.
