APPLE KILL CLARIS RESOLVE FOR THE MAC

By CBR Staff Writer

Apple Computer Inc’s Claris Corp is killing its Claris Resolve spreadsheet for the Macintosh, and will not sell it after March 31: technical support for registered Resolve users will be offered for one more year; those that want to move to another spreadsheet in due course can have the integrated ClarisWorks 2.1, which does include a spreadsheet, for $30 until September 30; it says Resolve was unable to garner the necessary market acceptance to be a sustainable long-term competitor as a Macintosh spreadsheet.
