APPLE JAPAN TO BEGIN MARKETING A KANJI POSTSCRIPT-BASED LASER PRINTER

By CBR Staff Writer

Apple Japan is also planning to begin marketing a Kanji Postscript-based laser printer, and will offer advice and guidance to software houses on modifying desktop publishing software for the local market: Bridge Inc in Hokkaidoo and Aldus Corp are jointly developing a Japanese version of Pagemaker, to be released for Apple’s KanjiTalk operating system for the Macintosh in June; Quark’s Xpress is also to be Japanised, by System Soft Inc, and should be ready this summer.
