Apple Computer Japan has finally brought over the top-end Macintosh IICX, launched in the US in March, and is offering the console with 40Mb disk at the equivalent of $6,840; the president of Apple, Mr Takeuchi, who was previously head of laptop sales for Toshiba Corp in Europe, is proud of the fact that Japanisation of the Apple machine this time took only four months; the English version of the Mac SE/30 will also be released in mid-August, priced at $4,630, and a Japanese language version is promised very shortly.
