Apple Computer Inc reckons that there is plenty of milage in improving both keyboards and mice, and has come out with the Apple Adjustable Keyboard and the Apple Desktop Bus Mouse II. The keyboard is hinged in the middle so that users can create their own keyboard in the round by setting the angle they prefer, and costs $220, next month. The the Mouse II has a new shape and improved design to make it more comfortable; it will be bundled with new Macs and be $80 sold separately. Apple also added the enhanced StyleWriter II personal printer with GrayShare software, an improved industrial design and versatile paper-handling capablilities at $360 and the Color OneScanner 24-bit colour scanner, and cut US prices on some existing imaging products. The OneScanner is cut 19% to $950, the LaserWriter IIg is reduced 41% to $2,310, the LaserWriter IIf falls 38% to $1,870, and the Personal LaserWriter NTR is reduced by 17% to $1,650. All the cuts are effective immediately.
