As part of Apple Computer Inc’s networking product blitz (CI No 1,195), the company has the Apple Data Modem 2400, an asynchronous 2,400bps modem that enables Macintosh users to access remote information sources or other Mac computers: the modem supports the Microcom Network Protocol, MNP, for error correction; it will be available in the third quarter for $500.
