Apple Computer Inc has come out with new releases of all the core Macintosh products – MacDraw, MacWrite, MacProject and MacTerminal: the new versions now take advantage of the AppleShare file server and the features of the new Macintosh II and the Macintosh SE, and will become the property of the new Claris Inc Apple software subsidiary, apart from MacTerminal, which will remain with Apple as part of its networking strategy of offering products such as the file server; as well as the new support, MacDraw loads between 20% and 75% faster than the older version of MacDraw, includes a zoom box in the title bar, and true WYSIWYG text; the new MacWrite supports arrow keys, and uses accurately scaled LaserWriter ruler; MacProject supports colour when used with the Macintosh II; and MacTerminal updates operation of the enter key in 3278 mode; US users can upgrade free if they take their existing disk in to their authorised Apple dealer by September 30 – he will then copy the new version onto their master disk
