APPLE HAS MADE FINE PROGRESS FOR THE YEAR

Equally impressive was Apple Computer’s progress for the year to September (figures, p3), so much so that Don Sinsbaugh of Swergold, Chevitz & Sinsbaugh reckons that the company could do $3,500m sales for the year just started: Interna-tional Data Corp estimates that the company shipped 210,000 Macs in its third quarter – against 115,000 for the same period last year, and did about 255,000 in the final quarter.
