Apple Computer Inc seems determined to alter its monolithic structure, and after revealing plans to float a minority in Apple Europe (CI No 1,307), the company has turned to its Claris Corp software subsidiary in Mountain View. The original plan to float at least a minority in the unit is back on the front burner now; president William Campbell told Reuters that flotation would be in the next few quarters.
