APPLE EXPANDS MEMORY

Apple also announced a 4Mb Mac II memory expansion kit for existing IIs; with console, 4Mb CPU, 40Mb Winchester and 800Kb floppy, it’s $7,269. The upgrade kit is $2,400. The company also announced its delayed Apple Scanner, an $1,800 device that reads text character by character into a Mac when used with the $800 Omnipage program from Los Gatos, California-based Caere Corp.
