APPLE DEMONSTRATES MAC WITH DVD-ROM

Apple Computer Inc publicly demonstrated the first Macintosh with a DVD-ROM drive in Cannes last week and announced support for the DVD-ROM format throughout most of the line. It said the first DVD-enabled Macintosh could appear as soon as late 1997, with several new PowerBook and desktop models expected to ship with DVD-ROM by early 1998.
