Apple Computer Inc has delayed the rollout of Copland, its next- generation operating system – again. The product was initially slated for a 1995 launch which was put back to mid-1996 and now Gil Amelio says Copland will be a 1997 event. Apple had been counting on Copland to help it regain its hold on the personal computer market and analysts say it has little chance of achieving that without a new operating system.
