APPLE CUTS MAC PLUS PRICES

By CBR Staff Writer

Apple Computer Inc yesterday cut prices on its low-end Macintosh Plus by 18% to $1,800 in the US, effective immediately. The company also cut hard disk prices, with the HD 20SC going down 15% to $1,100; the HD 40SC 15% to $1,700 and the HD 80SC 12.5% to $2,800. The SCSI cable and terminator will be bundled with the drives and Apple says the aim is to widen the Mac market.
