Apple Computer Inc has signed Intellimation Inc of Santa Barbara, California to take over and expand the former Kinko’s Academic Courseware Exchange, which provides college and grade school teachers creating instructional software for the Macintosh access to the Intellimation Library for the Macintosh, which will include a variety of software, from stand-alone programs to interactive multimedia with complete curriculum integration materials; inclusions in the library will range from a set of tutorials to accompany a basic college biology textbook to an interactive HyperCard-based American history program that accesses images stored on videodiscs; starting with predominantly college software, Intellimation will expand the service to include instructional software for primary and secondary schools and will also expand distribution beyond the US, and will eventually include software developed by educators from around the world.
