Apple Computer Inc has now come up with a name for the software company that it plans to spin out as a separate company. The new firm is to be called Claris Inc for clarity and distinctiveness, and its president is William Campbell, formerly US vice-president for sales and marketing at Apple. Existing Apple software will now go under the Claris name.
