Oppenheimer & Co analyst Marianne Wolk yesterday cut her rating on both Compaq Computer Inc and Apple Computer Inc to short-term sell from market performer saying she thinks investors’ enthusiasm for upcoming products from Apple and investors’ attitude that the worst is over for Compaq will take a back seat to what she expects will be disappointing financial results from both for the current quarter.
