Separately, Apple announced that it will incorporate the Apple FDHD SuperDrive into all Macintosh SE computers, and will cut the retail price of all Macintosh SE 68000-based configurations by $300 in the US effective immediately. The Mac SE/30 and II already use the FDHD, which reads Apple II, MS-DOS and OS/2 disks. The 1Mb SE with the two of the drives is now $2,870; with 20Mb disk it’s $3,470, $4,070 with 2Mb, 40Mb disk.
