Apple to begin sale of new iMac from 30 November

The new model will not feature optical disk drive that makes its edges one-fifth the thickness of the earlier model.

US based Apple is planning to commence the sales of the new smaller version of its new, iMac desktop computers on 30 November 2012.

The 21.5-inch iMac comes with an 8GB of 1600 MHz memory, a 1TB hard drive, new quad-core Intel Core i5 processors and the NVIDIA GeForce graphics processors.

Imac also features Fusion Drive, which is a new storage option that combines 128GB of flash with a standard hard drive and forms a single storage volume that assists in managing files to improve read and write performance.

Apple’s new gadget will also be offered with a 2.7 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost speeds about 3.2 GHz and NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M and a 2.9 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.6 GHz and NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M.

Apple is also offering the gadget with a 2.9 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost speeds of about 3.6 GHz and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M and a 3.2 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.6 GHz and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX.
