After a bug that has caused users to complain that iMessages are not being delivered, Apple has said it is working on yet another update for iOS7.

Apple forums are full of users complaining about the situation, which also leaves users unaware that their message hasn’t been delivered until hours later.

In a statement to the Wall Street Journal Apple said it is working on the issue. "We are aware of an issue that affects a fraction of a percent of our iMessage users, and we will have a fix available in an upcoming software update," Apple said.

"In the meantime, we encourage any users having problems to reference our troubleshooting documents or contact AppleCare to help resolve their issue. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes impacted users."

This will be the third quick fix Apple has issues since the release of iOS7, following an update fixing some unregistered bus and and update to iOS7.0.2 adressing security flaws that made it possible to bypass the lock screen and make calls.

To date, Apple has announced that over 200 million iOS devices have upgraded to the new operating system, which alongside a major design refresh, also includes a raft of new features and functionalities.
