Apple is giving developers a chance to buy Apple Watch Sport, for shipment by 28 April, to allow them to test WatchKit apps on the device.
According to reports, the company has sent emails to randomly selected developers and said that it will inform them about the status by 23 April.
Citing the email, Tech Crunch reported that the company has offered the Apple Watch Sport with 42mm silver casing and a blue sport band, and emphasized on testing of the WatchKit app.
Apple is reportedly counting on developers to come up with apps prior to the launch of the watch.
According to reports, millions of Apple Watch units have been sold already and more are being ordered.
Apple Watch Sport is made of lightweight anodised aluminium in silver and space grey, and features Ion-X glass to protect the display.
The watch has Retina display with force touch, heart rate sensor, accelerometer and gyroscope, Bluetooth 4.0, speaker and microphone and ambient light sensor, and is waterproof.
