Apple mulls iCloud upgrade

Likely to add social networking features to iCloud

Apple is planning an upgrade of its iCloud online service that includes new photo-sharing features which will see new photo-sharing features that will allow iCloud users to comment on images.

The announcement is expected to be revealed at the world-wide developer conference (WWDC) to be held in San Francisco in June this year, according to according to the Wall Street Journal which cited people familiar with the matter.

In addition, the company is also working on a new syncing service for Notes and Reminders, which will also support video, allowing iCloud users to sync their personal videos from phone to computer through iCloud.

In its current version, users can only store their photos in iCloud through Photo Stream feature.

The news agency also notes that these features are likely to debut with the release of Apple’s next mobile operating system iOS 6, which could be previewed to developers in June.

The iCloud upgrade with photo-sharing will appease Apple’s iCloud customers, nearly more than 125 million as of April 2011.
