The special appeals court for patents in Washington, DC duly granted Motorola Inc’s petition for a temporary stay of Judge Lucius Bunton’s order that it stop production and sale of the C68030 microprocessor, and Hitachi of the H8-532. The stay will allow both to present arguments on Bunton’s ban order to the appeals court. The judge made his order because he’d given the two time to reach an out-of-court settlement, and they had failed to make use of the 60 days’ grace.
