Hewlett-Packard Co’s Apollo Division in Chelmsford, Massachusetts has duly announced the promised system enhancements to the proprietary RISC-based Domain 10000 multiprocessing personal supercomputer and Series 10000 visualisation system by a claimed 80% plus. In single processor configuration, the Series 10000 is claimed to do 52% better than the specifications announced last autumn. Apollo enhanced communications and added new storage options, but maintained the base price at $70,000.
