Apollo Computer Inc yesterday duly launched its most powerful three-dimensional graphics workstation yet, the DN590 Turbo, enhancements to the DN570 and 580, and a new line of network servers. The DN590 supports 16.7m simultaneous colours and includes custom graphics VLSI processors, floating point processors and 190Mb disk and the base price is $57,900. Prices for the DSP500 servers begin at $29,900. Prices for the DN580 and DN570 fall 10%; they now have new ESDI disks and enhanced graphics software.
