Paris-based Apic Systemes SA says it doubled the number of licences it sold in 1993, for revenues of some $7.25m: the company says its installed based now numbers 450 Unix workstations, of which 28% are being used by network managers, 40% in local government offices, 13% by space managers and 19% at various service organisations; international sales have shot up from a mere 2% of the total in 1991 to 30% in 1993, which include doubling its UK installed base and a first penetration of the German and northern European markets with the Building Manager application developed on Apic by Digital Equipment Corp.
