Aon to buy another insurance software firm

US insurer Aon has agreed to acquire Valley Oak Systems, a California-based provider of claims management software, services and support for the insurance industry.

By CBR Staff Writer

Aon believes that Valley Oak Systems (VOS) will integrate and share data seamlessly with RiskConsole, Aon’s RMIS solution, creating the only end-to-end browser-based offering available worldwide.

No doubt, Aon will be hoping to achieve the same integration success with VOS as it did with risk management software developer Risk Laboratories, which it acquired in 2004.

During the last few years, we’ve experienced tremendous growth in all aspects of our business. With Aon, we’ll continue this strong growth and provide more comprehensive products and services to our clients, commented Randy Wheeler, founder and CEO of VOS.

Aon said that it expects to consummate the transaction by January 31, 2007.
