America Online Inc has begun the rollout of version 4.0 of its user interface software, featuring a new channel line-up as AOL’s TV-speak describes it. The roll-out begins October 13 and continues until the end of he month by which time new channels such as the workplace, families and lifestyle will be sitting alongside existing ones, such as sports, entertainment and kids. The centerpiece will be AOL Today, featuring the best of what’s on offer across the areas. AOL claims it has canvassed opinions extensively among its subscribers.
