With its traditional dial-up services lacking competitive edge, AOL has recently begun offering high-speed internet access through the partnerships it holds with BellSouth, Qwest Communications, and AT&T, according to recent media reports.
Its new competitively priced packages are also said to be offering free AOL email addresses with unlimited storage, along with parental control and security software.
