The portal uses dynamic mobile transcoding technology to optimize the content taken from AOL’s website according to the user’s phone. Tabbed navigation and intuitive menus have also been provided for easy navigation without having to click repeatedly. According to the company, the portal has been designed to recognize and remember user favorites and makes it possible to log in just once to the user’s email account and have continuous access for 30 days without having to sign in again.

AOL mobile provides facilities such as web surf, through which users can enter any website URL. It also features an email service offering contact search and full folder access. A search tool, which has been integrated with the homepage and facilitates both web and image searches, has also been provided. Users can access content, which is delivered directly from AOL’s website, with bespoke sport, news and entertainment channels being made available.
