AOL-Microsoft Continue Instant Messaging Battle

America Online Inc has begun sending messages to users of Microsoft Corp’s MSN Messenger warning them they are accessing its own Instant Messenger service via unauthorized software. The message offers a link for downloading AOL’s AIM software. Meanwhile, the rebuilds continue. Microsoft is now on release 1.0.0880 of MSN Messenger, the previous versions having been blocked by AOL.
