AnyDATA Corp., a manufacturer of wireless communications devices, has launched the DTP-500D Rev A EVDO and DTP-600W HSPA mini PCI-E modules for mobile internet devices and other wireless consumer electronics. Both new 3G modules utilize single chip technology from Qualcomm.
According to the company, the DTP-500D CDMA module operates on EVDO Rev A 800 and 1,900Mhz wireless networks. It features speeds up to 3.1Mbps for the downlink and 1.8Mbps for the uplink. The DTP-500D module is backwards compatible to CDMA 1x RTT networks. Features include GPS and AGPS location capabilities as well as a built-in TCP/IP stack and a standard USB 2.0 interface.
The DTP-600W HSPA module operates globally on tri-band UMTS 850/1900/2100 wireless networks as well as quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 networks. The module transmits data at 3.6Mbps downlink and 384kbps uplink.
