Android Wear shows new watch faces

More functions from smart developer

By CBR Staff Writer

Android Wear watches are about to become more interesting with 20 new watch faces available.

Functions include ‘Bits’ which give weather, unread mail and upcoming meetings data.

The Under Armour face is designed for the health conscious showing step count, calories burned, and distance. The ‘Together face’ will allow users to pair with other watches and share photos and emoji, as well as activities.

The watches will also get built-in support for Google Translate which will work even if there is no Google Translate on the users’ phone.

The update will be provided over the air to all Android Wear watches, and it is also likely to bring Wi-Fi support to the LG G Watch R.
